Foreman

Job Description

• Plan and manage construction jobs from start to finish, including hands on wherever needed
• Provide on time and complete paperwork, reports, and status updates
• Coordinate Equipment and Construction Crews
• Oversee Dig Safe marking and coordinate any issues with utilities
• Support the crew by operating equipment, pipefitting, and doing labor as needed
• Train workers in the proper use of equipment, processes, safety and quality
• Analyze and resolve work problems
• Maintain and manage time records, paperwork, safety reports
• Other duties as requested by leadership 

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Provide valid US work authorization documents
• Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle report
• 2 years of experience in relevant construction trade such as equipment operator
• Knowledge of one or more of the following is required: civil construction, underground utilities, traffic control, road paving, or wet utilities.
• OSHA Competent Person Certified is preferred
• Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
• All candidates MUST submit to a pre-employment drug screen**

• Ability to understand plans/blueprints to ensure projects meet all building/code requirements
• Ability to lead and direct subordinate personnel to perform duties/tasks in a safe, timely, and efficient manner
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, be very detail oriented, have strong organizational and time management skills
• Proven success in meeting critical deadlines under stressful conditions
• Strong sense of personal responsibility
• Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first

Essential Physical Functions/Requirements of the Job / Work Conditions:

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule and must be available to work Saturday’s
• Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
• All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
• Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Work is performed within the “red zone” of heavy equipment
• Working safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination

Hourly Rate & Benefits 

• Salary: $24.00 to $28.00 /hourly
