Job Description

·         Experienced Foreman that is responsible for ensuring work crews begin work on time, have the tools necessary and accurately complete documentation and reports.

·         Provide direct oversight for the crew/employees, inspect work in progress to ensure workmanship conforms to specifications while promoting a safe work environment.

Requirements

·         2+ years’ experience working in construction, or the utility distribution industry in Gas or Electric

·         Knowledge of joining piping by means threaded, fusing, coupling or other means

·         1+ year experience directly supervising employees is preferred

·         Possess a current and valid Driver’s License and DOT medical certificate

·         Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record

·         Applicant shall agree to pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens

·         Be at least 21 years of age

·         Authorized to work in the U.S

·         Understand the fundamentals and dangers of working with natural gas 

·         Prior construction knowledge required

·         Understands safety zones while working around equipment i.e. backhoes, bore rigs, air compressors, etc.

·         Must be able to pass testing for customer Operator Qualifications requirements

Essential Job Functions

·         The Natural Gas Foreman will be responsible for assisting the supervisor, by leading field crews to meet project goals in a safe manner

·         Leads on various size projects

·         Ensures accuracy of time sheets and expense reports

·         Develops work-around procedures for maintaining crew productivity during delays caused by other trades, customer, lack of materials, absenteeism, etc.

·         Monitors Quality Assurance and ensures installations meet customer specification and industry standards

·         Ensures safety practices are observed by all crews during their work

·         Reports, coordinates and supervises all aspects of a project

·         May work independently performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance

Essential Physical Functions/Requirements of the Job

·         Must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds

·         Must be able to stand, walk including and primarily on uneven surfaces, turning, stooping, kneeling, crouching, speaking and hearing are required continuously

·         Field environment with hot or cold conditions, gaseous atmosphere, loud noise volume and moving machinery

·         Comfortable with working 40+ hours per week and Saturdays
